Theater degrees may not be useful for much, but they are useful for, well, theater! I'm proud to be performing in the new original piece The Spectator and the Blind Man: Stories of Seeing and Not Seeing presented by the New York Frigid Festival and written by my friend and sidekick, Dr. Leona Godin.
And lookie! Here's a trailer where you can see me as a blind pianist. And let me tell you, playing piano blind is about as easy as it sounds.

I'm the "First Loser" behind Louis CK!
Being the "first loser" has never felt so good. Huge thanks to Funny Not Slutty and all who voted naming me "Funniest Storyteller on the Planet" right after Louis CK. Hey, I'll take it :)
Other notable names who make the list: Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, Kristin Wiig...in good company.

Things I love
Derangement of the Senses (New York, NY)
One of my favorite shows to perform on is Derangement of the Senses at Happy Ending Lounge in New York City. How can you not love a show that describes itself as the following:
Derangement of the Senses is a fiction & poetry reading series focusing on multimedia expressionism, people who don't recount stories in a terrifying monotone, the eroticism of fiction, and other incredible acts of literary dynamo. Burlesque performers dance as their favorite literary characters, artists manically illustrate stories live, and cacophonous electronic music swells through amplification of light by the stimulated emission of radiation! The reading is inspired by the proto-punk French poet Arthur Rimbaud, who asserted that the purpose of literature is to f*ck you up.
Awesome, right? Big thanks to the DOTS gang for recording my last performance about mailing dead birds to my first boo. And based on how crazy that sounds, I deserve to have this screen grab. Oy...

I've Been Negligent, But We're BACK!
As fun as temp jobs are (not), they are also time consuming. Hence, my lack of activity on here. But, that is being rectified RIGHT NOW! (whoa, that didn't need to be in all caps).
So, in a convenient easy-to-read manner, here's the latest and greatest.
4 YEAR ANNIVERSARY RECAP
Thanks so much to everyone who came out to make our 4 year anniversary a blast! Standing-room only and great stories made for a fantastic party. I even washed my hair! The evening ended with the crowd shouting "four more years!" Couldn't have asked for a better anniversary.
Molly Knefel shared a hilarious tale about being a balloon sales(wo)man. Which also fit perfectly with the fact that she was standing next to our giant "4" balloon which no one could tell was the number four.

Award-winning storyteller Leslie Goshko (Huffington Post, Sirius
XM Radio) celebrates 4 years of this storytelling series by inviting
some of NY’s top writers and storytellers to share true, bizarre tales
about their lives. There’s live accordion music, a challenging trivia
game, and a free wine giveaway where four (one for each year we’ve been
around) lucky audience members will walk away with their very own bottle
of Sideshow Sauce! Tonight’s stellar lineup includes stories from:
Dave Hill (author “Tasteful Nudes”, “This American Life")
Molly Knefel (co-host Radio Dispatch, “30 Rock")
Andy Christie (host “The Liar Show”, Moth GrandSlam Champion)
